State of Florida DUI

 

If arrested and convicted for a state of Florida Dui, you will be facing a multitude of fines and penalties that you must be aware of.

To start with, Florida is very tough on Drunk Driving.  You can be facing a loss of your driving privileges, DUI school, community service, fines and possible jail time.  Having a Dui Conviction on your record and also have ramifications outside the legal systems effecting your reputation, job and lifestyle.

Florida Dui Laws are strict and can be very costly if convicted.  In FL, having a blood alcohol content of .08 % or higher can lead to an arrest.

State of Florida DUI – Fines

  • 1st conviction $250 to $500.  If a minor in vehicle or more than .20% BAC  $500 to $1,000 plus community service.
  • 2nd conviction $500 to $1,000.  If a minor in vehicle or more than .20% BAC $1,000 to $2,000 plus community service.
  • 3rd conviction in 10 years up to $5,000.  If a minor in vehicle or more than .20% BAC not less than $2,000 plus community service.
  • 4th conviction or more, not less than $1,000.  If a minor in vehicle or more than .20% BAC not less than $2,000 plus community service.

State of Florida DUI – Jail Time

  • 1st conviction up to 6 months.  If a minor in vehicle or more than .20% BAC up to 9 months.
  • 2nd  conviction up to 9 months.  If a minor in vehicle or more than .20% BAC up to 12 months.
  • 3rd conviction up to 12 months.  If conviction within 10 years mandatory 30 days jail time.
  • 4th conviction up to 5 years.

Driving Under The Influence should never be an option for your or a friend.  The risks of your life, freedom and fines are just not worth it.  Florida takes operating a motorized vehicle while over the limit very seriously and the consequences can be life changing.
